BW300

BW300 is a multi-functional product for use in steam boilers. It consists of catalysed sulphite solution to provide oxygen scavenging, together with a polymer and phosphate to provide conditioning of suspended solids. In addition, BW300 has an alkalinity builder to give pH adjustment in low alkalinity feedwaters. The removal of dissolved oxygen in boiler water greatly reduces the serious problem of oxygen induced corrosion. This increases equipment operating life. To improve reaction time with dissolved oxygen, BW300 is catalysed. The product has also been formulated to be a low odour product for safe handling.

HOW MUCH TO USE
BW300 should be added to the farthest point back within the feedwater system to allow for maximum reaction time with the dissolved oxygen. The product should be added continuously based upon make-up and should be pumped directly from the product container. Best results are obtained with feedwater in the pH range of 8.0-9.0.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
BW300 has a low toxicity but standard chemical precautions should be taken when handling all chemicals. Wear gloves and goggles. Certain individuals may show sensitised reaction to the sulphites in the product. Maintain product above O°C to prevent freezing. Consult Health and Safety sheet for further information.
